To every parent that is raising a child in the Lord, trust in the SEEDS you are planting. It is not your responsibility to yield a “perfect” child by the time they reach adulthood. Rather, it is your responsibility to PRESENT to them the knowledge of Christ and provide them with tools to navigate life. If you do this, the hope is that, when they depart from you, they will not also depart from Him.
However, the choice to continue with Him is ultimately theirs and is THEIR responsibility to make.
Meanwhile, I need to caution you:
What you plant now may not be what you SEE now. Some seeds you plant will lay dormant (inactive, fruitless) UNTIL…
...there comes a season in your child’s life when they will NEED what you have instilled in them or provided to them. At that time, they will remember what you sowed and the seeds will germinate and take ROOT. Under right TIME and right CONDITIONS you will begin to SEE the fruit of your labor as their parent. Trust in this process.
You plant the seeds while they are in your care, and God will take it from there—that is HIS responsibility. Remember, before they belonged to you, they belonged to Him… and still do. 🖤 You can trust God with his child.
“I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but GOD has been making it GROW.” 1 Corinthians 3:6 🌱
